Terms of Use

Last updated 27 September 2026

These terms cover this website and the material published on it. They are not the agreement under which we build or run software for you. If we are working together, that is a separate written agreement and it takes precedence over anything here. The same goes for the phone apps we publish for clients, such as ACOT Crew: using one is covered by that client's agreement with us and by the app store's own standard licence terms, not by this page.

1. Who these terms are with

The website at ivaraai.com is operated by Ivara Technologies, based in Sydney, Australia. By using the site you accept these terms. If you do not accept them, do not use the site.

2. What the site is for

The site describes what we do and publishes our research. It is information, not an offer, a quote, or a commitment to provide anything. Nothing on it forms a contract between us. Any work we do for you starts with a written scope and price that we both agree to.

3. Our research is not advice

We publish forecasts, dossiers and analysis, including material on markets, financing and technology. That work is published because we think it is useful and because we think knowledge should be shared. It is general information only.

It is not financial, investment, legal, engineering, safety or professional advice, and it does not take account of your circumstances. Do not make an investment or a business decision on the strength of it alone. Where a document forecasts or models an outcome, it is an opinion about an uncertain future and may turn out to be wrong. Get your own advice before you act.

4. Accuracy

We take care with what we publish and we cite sources where we can. We do not promise that everything on the site is complete, current or free of error, and we may change or remove material at any time without notice. Where we get something wrong and it matters, we would rather be told: zac@ivara.tech.

5. Using our material

The content of this site, including text, research, design, code, graphics and the Ivara name and logo, belongs to us or is used with permission.

You may:

  • read it, and print or save a copy for your own use
  • quote a reasonable extract, so long as you say it came from Ivara and link back

You may not, without asking us first:

  • republish it as your own, or present it without attribution
  • sell it, or put it behind your own paywall
  • use it to train a machine learning model
  • scrape the site in bulk, or in a way that degrades it for anyone else
  • use our name or logo in a way that suggests we endorse you

6. Acceptable use

Do not attempt to gain access to any part of our systems you have not been given access to, interfere with the site's operation, or use it to break the law. Our client platform is a private system for authorised users, and access attempts are logged.

7. Links out

Where we link to somewhere else, we do not control it and we are not responsible for it. A link is not an endorsement.

8. Availability

We do not promise the site will be available uninterrupted or error free. We may change, suspend or withdraw any part of it at any time. Uptime commitments for client software, if any, live in the agreement for that work, not here.

9. Liability

Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts or modifies any guarantee, right or remedy you have under the Australian Consumer Law or any other law that cannot lawfully be excluded. Where our liability can be limited by law, and where the Australian Consumer Law permits, we limit it to resupplying the relevant material or paying the cost of having it resupplied.

Subject to that, we are not liable for any loss arising from your use of this site or reliance on anything published on it, including lost profit, lost revenue, lost data or business interruption.

10. Privacy

How we handle personal information is set out in our Privacy Policy.

11. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. The version on this page at the time you use the site is the one that applies, and the date at the top tells you when it last changed.

12. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia. Disputes go to the courts of New South Wales.
